Arrived at La Laguna Apoyo

Had a bumpy landing into Managua but we made it.  Nicaragua is one hour behind Va and they do not observe daylight savings time so it was full on dark.  We were the last ones through customs but Giovanni was out front to meet us.  

It took about an hour to get to La Laguna Apoyo where we are staying.  The coolest, or I should say hottest, thing that we saw was the lava flow from Masaya Volcano.  Leslie got very quiet after that....I think that the realization of where she was finally hit her.  The road pretty much just ends at the gate to our "hotel".  The last kilometer was no more than a dirt track through the forest.  The kids were tearing me that of course I had to find the most remote place to go:)

Our little grass roof huts are so cute and the outside bathroom is sweet.  Woke up this morning to lots of bird calls, stepped outside and got our first glimpse of the lake!!  It is gorgeous!!!  Boys are out kayaking while I sit on the dock enjoying the peace and quiet.
