San Simian

(Alden)
We flew in last night, and drove for about an hour to get to San Simian. On the way we saw the volcano glowing orange in the dark, and we drove down a long road to the lodge. We were tired so we went to sleep, but the lodge is very cute, with cabanas with outside showers that are attached to our cabanas with flowers and plants around your feet. We woke up early this morning because of the time change and went swimming in the lake, which is beautiful. It's about 80 degrees Fahrenheit and it's clear with a dark blue-green shade. We swam for about an hour and layed on the floating platform about 100 yards away, and aunt les didn't even drown! It's mineral water, so Tilghman skipped rocks and it was really easy to float on the surface. After swimming, we came up to breakfast where we met the owner, who is very nice and knows a lot about the area. I got a pineapple-mango-passion fruit smoothie and everyone got breakfast, which is very cute and very good. Pictures to follow!
