Hot Springs Kayak Trip

Today we woke up early, as usual, and all went to the dock to get ready to kayak to the hot springs, for real this time. Tilghman slept in, and there were only 4 kayaks so he decided not to go. We blindly paddled in the center of the lake in the general direction of the hot springs. We paddled way too far, and ended up having to ask two fishermen where the hot springs were, but they didn't really know, so we just paddled back. Alden kayaked along the shore, still determined to find the hot springs, and after kayaking for a little, saw steam and bubbles coming up next to a big rock on the shore of the lake. Laura and Alden went for a swim in the boiling hot water, and then got back in their kayaks to paddle home, only to be met with a huge rain storm 30 minutes away from the Lodge. When we all finally got back, we took showers and ate breakfast, and it was only 8am!
